Life Skill assessment and therapy is aimed to improve participation in daily activities based on client’s goal. We work with the client helping them to learn and develop new skills or existing skills that they want to do in order to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.

Equipment Assessment

The equipment assessment is an assessment that can take place in a clinic, at home or in the community. It is usually completed by observing activities relating to person difficulty they may be experiencing, like mobility, transfers, feeding, seating etc. Through observation of these tasks, the therapist can assess the risks to safety and loss of independence and offer advice and/or prescription on the most suitable piece of equipment that can increase their safety and independence to carry out the activity.

Sensory Assessment

The sensory assessment is an assessment that can take place in a clinic, at home or in school. It will be completed by an occupational therapist through observation of the behaviours and movements the child shows in relation to the sensory input they are receiving.
